It is hard to label this album. While the cover (a beautiful cover) portrays a harpist in a fantasy setting the harp is not the sole instrument heard, it is but one of the many instruments who find voice on this CD. Perhaps the best description would be New Age Celtic. The music is simple, clean and pleasing to the ear. At times a Celtic feel will rise to the surface then slowly settle back into the music. It is not melancholy, nor will it have you dancing a jig although track 7 Knight Ride will wake you back up if you were nodding off. It strikes me more as something to play softly in the background as you watch the fire in the fireplace and you pet your dog who has his head in your lap at the end of a peaceful yet satisfying day.
